10:00 AM-11:00 AM: Movement Workshop 
  • Boxing 101: The Art of Not Quitting with Savoy "Kapow!" Howe. Start the day by feeling the strength of your own body. Savoy will lead EFF participants who wish to join in easy boxing techniques to energize us for the work ahead. Most learning situations lead with the head. We lead with the whole body. Try to be open, curious, and nimble. Nourish your body before moving into intellectual learning spaces!

  • Foundational talk #1. Carol Ann Hilton: ​Indigenomics By Design: The Rise of Indigenous Economic Empowerment.

12:00 PM-1:00 PM: Lunch, networking, community fair and writing workshop
  • Take some time to yourself, think, set intentions, prepare, or just empty your mind to be ready to receive.
  • Writing Workshop: Grab your lunch and join this 40-minute session! Take the time to write and enjoy being challenged by feminist writing prompts. Participants will have the option to share—or not!

About the Community Fair: Co-curated by the EFF production team and volunteers from the Canadian Women’s Chamber of Commerce, the fair will feature a collective merch table and 10-15 community groups, associations, media enterprises, or projects focused on elevating or supporting the entrepreneurial feminist community.

Note: To keep costs down, we will offer healthy snacks throughout the day. Bring your own lunch or purchase food from the many nearby restaurants or the cafe on site.
